Name the game (2 years on)

edited June 2006 in Games
Two years ago, I asked a 'name the game' question, but no one was able to help me.

2 years, worth another bash, eh?

Okay, it was a cheapie little tape called '3 in 1'. On it, believe it or not, were 3 little seperate games. 2 were probably pants (I can't remember), but the other was a light cycle affair - that's the one I'm looking for.

It took about 4 seconds to load, had a green border with white screen and black pixel-thick lines for the bikes. It was strictly a 2 player affair with a unique control system of only 2 keys, say E and R. No keys pressed would mean the bike goes down, e=left, r=right, both keys pressed = up.

Each round (there were 10 I think) the lines would get faster and faster.

Cracking stuuf. But what the bleedin' hell was it?

Much ta.

To each their own, eh, Starglider?

Aye, quite a rare title that one... I collect titles by Video Showcase amongst others, and was quite pleased when I managed to track it down..

"Video Showcase"?! That's the sort of software house moniker you don't get any more. I wonder if they specialised in "games for the home micro".

    Green background = full colour.

1 pixel light bike = high resolution graphics.

....not forgetting the 'High Score Table'. Oh, hang on - it didn't have one.
